PROFILE

Born in Shigatse in 1986, Puchung began studying with Xiluo at the age of fourteen. After approximately five years of systematic training he moved into independent practice. Since 2006 he has participated in mural projects at Tashilhunpo Monastery, Dechen Kelsang Palace and other sites, while continuing to paint thangka and train younger painters.
