PROFILE

Born in 1979 in Jiangdang Township, Shigatse, Xiluo entered Tashilhunpo Monastery at the age of nine. Under master Losang Tenzin he undertook nine years of systematic training in proportion, drawing, colour, line work and the final painting of the eyes. He later worked on murals at Tashilhunpo, Jokhang, Labrang and Kumbum monasteries, while continuing to paint in the Mensar tradition and train younger painters.
